Jac has lost 13kgs and improved her mental health
Jac is 42, from Brisbane and mum to a 15 yr old daughter, she is also a support worker. She is very excited to be part of the December Zing Squad and support other women on their wellness journey.
"I’ve been a part of the Zing Wellbeing community since July and absolutely love it!
"Before I joined Zing Wellbeing I was in such a bad place both physically and mentally after having cancer and losing two family members to cancer only months later.
"I’ve lost 13kgs and improved my mental health so much I barely recognise myself."
Her goals for December are to continue improving her physical and mental health.
- ✨continuing to fuel my body with good food (the Zing Wellbeing recipes are amazing and super easy to prepare)
- ✨ consciously and consistently practicing self care, it’s super important for good mental health!
- ✨continuing to move my body each day and build up more strength, I’ve found since being in menopause I do t have as much strength as I used to so it’s definately a big goal for me to work towards
- ✨ meal prep! I find meal prep is a great way to have a successful week, I really need to work on breakfasts more as I have early starts so I’m super keen to figure out the best way to do mornings for me.
- ✨learn how to live and deal with menopause symptoms while living a healthy lifestyle, whilst my symptoms have improved they could be better
I’ve learnt so much about living a balanced holistic lifestyle since starting Zing Wellbeing but there’s always more to learn and I’m here for it, come and join us it’s a great community and we are here to support you and cheer you on every step of the way.
I was a long time Coke drinker, I could drink up to 2 litres a day. I started cutting down and replacing it with coke no sugar caffeine free, and as the days went on I realised I was having less and less and drinking more water.
I now drink almost 2 litres of water a day and I have the occasional caffeine free coke.
Jac has changed her mental health and is feeling stronger
Jac says, "Since joining Zing Wellbeing I am happier, stronger mentally and physically and able to move my body more. I've started realising myself worth and putting myself first.
So, I’m guessing it’s a combination of my anxiety getting a lot better, my body being able to move much more freely, and my weight loss, but I’m really discovering joy in the world again.
I was stuck between feeling numb, anxious and sad and now I'm finding my love for nature and scenery and the outside world again.
These pics above are only a few months a part but they tell such a story.
The first photo I was on my way to a friend’s wedding, I was so incredibly anxious, uncomfortable, worried about people looking at me, my dress was new but tight in places, my face was super bloated, i tried to make it better with makeup, but even that was uncomfortable, I was off my medication and I just wanted to go home and cry, I held those tears in for hours and when I got home I sobbed, I felt such hatred for myself and my life (not realising then that menopause was at its finest, I was still grieving my dad, I was paranoid about my cancer coming back)
The second pic was after being on Zing Wellbeing for nearly 5 months I think, we had gone out for my birthday, I was happy, I was confidant, I danced, I wasn’t worried about people staring, I felt loved by the people around me, I enjoyed my food, I wore only a touch of mascara and didn’t feel the need to hide my face.
I’ve been reflecting on how much my mental health had taken a big hit in the early half of this year and how much it has changed recently. I truly feel genuinely happy and content I really have this community to thank for it, the support and love has been endless. When your happy you do better
