How I lost tummy fat and menopause belly on the zing wellbeing program

Tummy fat is something that we all need to keep an eye on. As it can be a very dangerous form of fat as the tummy fat sits around our vital organs so fat in this area is very different to fat around on our legs or arms.

And thanks to the menopause and menopause belly I had gained a bit of tummy fat so 6 weeks ago I started my own little health kick (and following the Zing Wellbeing plans) with the goals of:

1) reducing cholesterol

2) losing belly fat (thanks menopause belly)

3) getting more energy

I don't own a scales and I don't obsess about weight or weight loss so this was always much much more than losing weight

So I decided to prioritise my health and follow the Zing Wellbeing program to a T and at the end of it will see if the jeans fit better, to see if I can reduce my tummy fat and menopause belly and share my pics along the way to show you how I am going and what I am doing.

The goals I set myself are:
  • Eating at least 90g of protein a day (My protein powder has really helped me achieve this)
  • Following the meal plans daily 
  • Exercising 3-4 times a week plus doing a daily walk and throwing in a few swims too!
  • Getting at least 8 hours sleep a night
  • Switching off from my phone at 9pm
  • Focusing on managing stress in the lead up to the silly season

My health results and belly fat results after 6 weeks

After 6 weeks of following the Zing Wellbeing program these are my results. 
I don't have a scales so can't tell you a number (but I think it would be around 5-6kg) but I am happy with my progress and feel like I have
so much more energy and feel much stronger.

  • I feel stronger
  • I feel fitter
  • I have more energy
  • My gut health has really improved
  • And I have definitely lost tummy fat

I am eating well and doing regular (and simple) weight bearing exercises too and have been sharing these in the private support group and doing some live workouts early in the morning too!

Here is a couple of examples of a day on my plate too

  • I am sticking to 90-100g of protein per day
  • I am using the Wellness Smoothie as a breakfast
  • I am using the protein powder as a gut health boosting snack - you can see the recipe I use to boost gut health and protein here
  • I am having around 1500 cals a day and cooking from the meal plans
  • And honestly with the amount of protein I have had I am not hungry and feel great!
  • I am also not eating anything after 7pm to give my digestion a break over night and have a mini fast
  • Feeling really good and LOVING the food from the anti inflammatory menu and the high protein menu in the Zing Wellbeing program
