Honey Garlic Chicken Fried Rice

Serve: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup spring onions, white parts 
  • 300g chicken breast, small cubed
  • 1 tsp paprika 
  • Salt and pepper to taste 
  • 1 1/2 cup cooked brown rice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce or less 
  • ½  tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup frozen peas
  • 3 spring onions, sliced

Garnish: sesame seeds, chilli flakes

Method: 

  1. Heat a pan over medium heat, add 1 tbsp sesame oil. 
  2. Saute garlic, spring onion and onion for about 2 minutes until soft and fragrant. 
  3. Make a well at the centre and add chicken. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Cook for a few minutes until the chicken is cooked through. 
  4. Add rice, soy sauce and honey. Stir to combine. 
  5. Add peas, onions, sesame seeds and chilli flakes. 
  6. Mix until soft. 
  7. Serve immediately!
