French Toast

French toast

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • ⅓ cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 4 slices of sourdough or wholemeal bread (GF if required)

Topping

  • 30g Fresh berries
  • Chia jam (homemade recipe on the App or here)

Method: 

  1. In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla and cinnamon powder. 
  2. Dip bread slices into the batter, dredging them well on both sides, and place on a lightly greased pan over medium heat. 
  3. Cook for a few minutes, until the bottom of the toast starts to get golden brown. Flip and cook on the other side. 
  4. Transfer to a serving plate. 
  5. Add jam, fresh berries and a scoop of greek yoghurt. 
  6. Sprinkle icing sugar if desired.
