Add a bit more milk if needed.

Meal prep tips

Fridge: Best eaten fresh, but the blended base can be stored in an airtight container for up to 24 hours. It may separate slightly, so stir well before serving.

Freezer: Yes. The smoothie bowl base can be frozen for around 1 month in individual airtight containers. Thaw in the refrigerator overnight and stir or briefly re-blend before serving.

Best meal-prep method: Portion the frozen dragon fruit, raspberries and banana into individual freezer bags or containers. When ready to eat, blend with the yoghurt and almond milk. This gives you a much fresher, thicker smoothie bowl.

Toppings: Always add fresh fruit and granola after thawing/blending so they retain their texture.

Health benefits

Dragon fruit provides fibre, vitamin C and antioxidant compounds. It also contributes to the vibrant colour of the bowl without needing added colouring or sugar.

Raspberries are particularly high in fibre and provide vitamin C, manganese and antioxidant polyphenols. They help balance the sweetness of the banana.

Bananas provide potassium, vitamin B6 and carbohydrates for energy. Using ripe bananas gives the bowl plenty of natural sweetness without needing added honey or syrup.

Greek yoghurt adds protein and calcium and makes the smoothie bowl creamier. A high-protein Greek yoghurt can substantially improve the protein content.

Almond milk provides a light, low-calorie liquid base. An unsweetened, calcium-fortified variety is the best everyday choice.
