A day on my plate and how I changed how I ate and my health - from the Zing Wellbeing Founder, Rhian
Since I launched Zing Wellbeing I have transformed my health but more than that I have transformed the way I view food and my health.
I have changed my life from a life that was super stressful and where I was not prioritsing my short or long term health to one where holistic health and longevity is my number 1 focus.
And today I am sharing what a typical day on my plate looks like with recipes from Zing Wellbeing Meal Plans - and eating this way helped me lose over 10kg and gain so much energy.
Breakfast
For breakfast I will either have a Wellness Smoothie which is a full meal replacement and has over 32g of protein plus collagen, pro biotics and 22 vitamins and minerals in
Or I will have a high protein breakfast from the Zing Wellbeing plans - some of the ones I LOVE are the breakfast frittata
You can shop the wellness smoothie here too
Mid morning snack
I will always have one of my gut health and protein shots - this is just the absolute best for health - incredible for gut health, the liver, inflammation and building lean muscle. You can buy the organic protein powder I use here
You can see the recipe I use here
Lunch
I always go for something quick and easy and with either have a Wellness Smoothie or a lunch from the Zing Wellbeing plans such one of our yummy wraps (I love the gyros one) or the chicken high protein pocket
Snack
I can't go past cottage cheese and fresh pineapple for a high protein, high calcium and gut health loving snack. I also love the oatmeal and choc energy balls or some eggs and avo - soooo good!
I should add that I always avoid highly processed foods — not because of fear, but because they simply aren't good for our health.
They're often packed with sugar, artificial additives, and chemicals that disrupt our gut microbiome, throw our hormones out of balance, and offer zero real nourishment.
If you read the labels, it’s clear: these foods are designed for shelf life, not your wellbeing. I choose to steer clear and nourish my body with what it truly needs.
Dinner
With 2 young boys, I try and do family friendly recipes for dinner.
And some of my favourites include the gut friendly spaghetti bolognese, slow cooked garlic and honey chicken and turkey chilli with black beans - all from the Zing Wellbeing meal plans
And as well as eating food from the Zing Wellbeing meal plans and menu (we have over 750 recipes) I also do the following
- Eat 90g of protein a day
- I don't count calories
- Weight bearing exercises 4-5 times a week
- Go to bed by 10pm
- I don't eat after 7pm
- Get outside in nature for a daily walk
And we are ALWAYS creating new nutrition focused meals at Zing Wellbeing.
Most programs really focus on calories - but health and weight are SOOO much more than calories. It is about nutrition and what the food is doing for our body
If we eat a wholefood diet without highly processed foods in our body, we give our gut, hormones, and metabolism the nutrients they actually need to thrive.
We reduce inflammation, support better digestion, balance our mood and energy, and naturally move toward a healthy weight — without obsessing over numbers. It becomes less about restriction, and more about nourishment.
And here's a few of the MANY more healthy recipes coming in Zing Wellbeing that I am LOVING!!
