About Summer

Summer is a 36 year old Learning support Teacher Aide from Logan QLD.

She also has 3 beautiful boys who keep her very busy!

Summer's wellness journey 

Summer shares with our Zing team, "A few weeks ago I was in a bad spot, honestly, my food was so bad that my stomach felt so stretched, my skin was bad and my gut health was all over the place. It was lollies, chips, takeaway, you name it! 

The good stuff just wasn’t going into my diet anymore.

I wanted to eat well but my mind wasn’t able to get me there. I needed help!!!!

That’s when I saw Rhian Allen announce she was launching Zing Wellbeing and it wasn’t about weight loss but learning to use food to fuel your body and be the medicine it needs.

That just hit me like a lightening bolt and everything in me knew I had to join and do it.

Finishing the FIRST 2 week challenge has made me so beyond proud of myself and feeling INSANELY GOOD!

Does it end now? Heck no, because I don’t want this feeling to go. I feel sooooooo much better now than I did 2 weeks ago!"

Summer's favourite Zing Wellbeing recipes so far

I love the beef and chicken stir fry’s because they are so quick and easy!

Mixed berries with yoghurt and chia seeds has also become a staple.

I love to repeat meals to make my life easier and to keep costs down.

Taking it one day at a time and taking pictures of my food helps me stay accountable. Seeing that I’ve done well at the end of the day is a good feeling. I then want that again the next day.

I’ve proven to myself I can do this! I’ve shown myself how much I enjoy this and how much better I feel because of it!

Love that this is wearing off on my family too. The Kids have been eating a lot better since I have made the change and hubby said today, "hey hun, when you go grocery shopping can you get me fruit so I can have fruit salad in the mornings."

I did it!!!!!!!!! Day 14 of the challenge. I FLIPPIN' DID IT!!!! 2 weeks of complete focus.

Bring on the 7 Day Budget challenge, no way I’m stopping now when I feel this good. I can’t recommend zing wellbeing enough!

Summer's meal planning tips

I’m a paper and pen girl when it comes to working out my plan for the week. I start with snacks. Why? Because it’s a lot easier to work out snacks before main meals. Have you started planning for the week? Without a plan it’s a lot harder to stick to.

Absolutely love the program I have chosen a variety from the standard program, menopause program and the vegetarian program. For the first time in nearly a year I am eating breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as 2 snacks and feeling so much better for it. I love that Rhian and her team are looking after people's wellbeing not just their food. I love all the various wellbeing coaches that give us some advice.
