Women supporting women! Tanya absolutely loves the positive and inspiring community

Tanya is a mum of 4 and excited to join the Zing Wellbeing support squad for December and support other women wanting to improve their health.

Tanya shares, I have been on my personal wellness journey since November 1st 2021. I was inspired to make positive choices in my life and for my children  following a difficult birth of my youngest child earlier that year.   

My focus at this time was reducing my weight as l was 113kg and improving my mental health. I committed to initially exercising every day (61 days) until the end of that year. However, l felt absolutely amazing that l raised the bar to 100 and beyond and have continued focusing on this every day since as l see this as my scaffolding and a positive in my daily routine! 

During this time l have been faced with so many of life challenges however l have found that by focusing on my physical and mental health as a daily non-negotiable that l have improved my physical health and l am the most resilent and strong that l have ever been.

"It’s such an empowering feeling within and amazing to have shared and role modelled this to my 4 children."

Tanya loves all the coaches and experts

Zing Wellbeing came into my life at the right time as l felt that l needed to increase my focus on my holistic health.

I have enjoyed watching the LIVE coaches enjoying Rae’s tips around sleep and writing that mental list before going to bed.

I also enjoy watching Mel’s cooking and recommendations on exercises which l believe can easily be adapted into your daily routine.

I’ve enjoyed watching Rhian and her tips with my favourite video being about swapping out the table salt to Himalayan salt. It’s the small steps in change that add up to the bigger noticeable differences.

I have been using the Zing Wellbeing protein powder in my daily smoothies and l absolutely love the texture and taste! It’s not like some other ones l've tried previously, it’s something l thoroughly look forward to in setting my day off to a positive start. I’m excitedly awaiting my arrival of the Wellness Smoothie

Morning Smoothie (banana, chai seeds, protein powder, almond milk unsweetened) 

Yoghurt snack 

Lunch; poached eggs, bacon, avocado sour dough bread 

Afternoon tea; fresh fruits, dips and biscuits 

Tea; meat with vegetables, also love the healthy Spaghetti Bolognase for a family friendly option! 

Other favourites include; supercharged meatballs with greens, mango chai pudding, chocolate chai pudding, chicken breast stir fry.

What l absolutely love is that the food is simple and easy to prepare! 

Tanya's top tip - Start small! 

I absolutely love the positive and inspiring community that Zing Wellbeing focuses on.

I feel like l have learnt so much from my weight loss journey that l needed a supportive space to focuses on your health holistically so l can achieve the best outcomes in all areas of my life.

I find the information relates to my life at the moment and l can learn so much whilst also asking for help.

I feel like l have crawled through some pretty big trenches in my life so l value the importance of looking after ourselves on so many levels. As a result of some of the experiences l have lived through it has impacted on my mental and physical health and l know how important it is to nurture this to see the light no matter what dark shadows may occur.

"I am a big believer that you can do absolutely anything as long as you believe in YOU!!"

Tanya shares her tips for other women wanting to change their health

  • Have a goal that’s clear and achievable for you,
  • Start small (it’s the little wins that truly add up) 
  • Treat yourself as you would your best friend
  • Celebrate the wins
  • Try new things
  • Keep trying things to see what works for you, 
  • Try and involve your kids as it’s a great way to connect and have positive time together. 
  • Reset and reassess your goals for you as they do change over time.
