
From Burnout to Breakthrough: My Journey to Rebuilding, Healing, and Starting Zing Wellbeing
There are moments in life when everything shifts.
For me, one of those moments came after I sold The Healthy Mummy — the business I had founded, built from scratch, and devoted 12 years of my life to.
It was more than a business. It was my identity, my purpose, my heart. But after the sale, the stress I endured was immense under the new ownership and I wouldn't wish what I had to go through on anyone. The passion I had once poured into it was met with extreme stress and pressure that compromised my health, my joy, and my ability to be present with my family.
Eventually, I had to make the hardest decision of my life — to walk away. I chose my mental wellbeing and my family over money, over ego, over everything. It was heartbreaking, but it was necessary and it was a decision I don't regret.
After the business was on-sold again to new owners (Mosh), I reached out to them and offered to help. I had always wanted The Healthy Mummy to thrive, regardless of who owned it. But it became painfully clear after a few months, that the values I had built the brand and community on, weren’t aligned to the new direction under Mosh.
In my mind, the soul of what I had created was gone. And with that, I had to accept this and finally draw a line under The Healthy Mummy part of my life.
For a long time, I thought I would never step foot in the health space again. I was burnt out. Traumatised. Exhausted. My mental health had taken a beating, and I didn’t have the energy to start again. I hid. I withdrew. I needed to heal.
And healing took time.
Over two years, I began to rebuild not just my life, but myself. I learned more than I ever had about mental health, neural pathways, stress responses, and what it truly takes to recover.
I realised that mental wellbeing wasn’t just one aspect of health — it was the foundation. Without it, nothing else thrives. And with it, everything can bloom.
As I got stronger, I felt a little spark returning. I decided to start a Facebook group — a small space where I could talk about the things I loved: food, holistic health, women’s wellbeing. I didn’t expect much. But what happened next changed everything.
Within a few short weeks, over 5,000 women had joined. They resonated. They connected. They were inspired by the honest, raw conversations — and I was inspired right back. My confidence started to return. I felt like myself again.

And then it hit me: I was meant to be in the women’s health space. Not because of who I used to be — but because of everything I’d been through. I had new tools. A deeper understanding. Real battle scars — but also real wisdom. And I knew I could help more women now than I ever could before.
So, with courage and the support of thousands of incredible women, I decided to follow my dreams once again. That’s how Zing Wellbeing was born — a holistic health platform for women that combines physical health, nutrition, mental wellbeing, and mindset. A place where women feel supported, inspired, and empowered.
And just like when I built and ran The Healthy Mummy my philosophy is about investing in the community and the customer and I have an amazing team around me and every single month we create NEW content, new programs, new products and new tools.
It is ALIVE and so exciting and in 12 months we have created an app, 1000 food as medicine recipes, over 100 fully guided workout videos, mental wellbeing programs and over 10 NEW product lines including organic protein powder and wellbeing smoothies. You can see the shop here
It has been a HUGE amount of investment and work but it has been 100000% worth it!
12 months on, I’m filled with gratitude. We’ve built something beautiful. Over 20,000 women are part of this movement, and the results we’re seeing are incredible. Women are healing, transforming, and thriving.
And it has been amazing to be back on TV, back on Sunrise talking about my passion - food, health, fitness and holistic health.
Zing Wellbeing isn’t just about weight loss or eating well — it’s about looking at the whole woman. We focus on every area of health: from gut health and menopause support to energy, mindset, hormones, stress, sleep, blood sugar, fitness, and joy. And the impact has been life-changing. Women are seeing improvements in their gut health, losing weight sustainably, reducing menopause symptoms, lowering blood pressure, balancing hormones, improving insulin resistance, boosting energy levels, increasing their strength and fitness, and — most importantly — feeling happy, confident, and in control again.

I’ve made peace with the past. I’m proud of what I built. But I’m even prouder of how I rebuilt myself. Zing Wellbeing isn’t just a business — it’s my purpose, my passion, and proof that even in our darkest times, we can rise again.
