Why this recipe supports menopause and gut health

1. High protein meals may help support menopause weight management

Protein becomes even more important during menopause. It can help keep you feeling fuller for longer and supports muscle maintenance, which naturally declines with age.

Turkey is a fantastic lean protein option that is naturally lower in carbohydrates while still being satisfying.

Each serve of this recipe contains over 26g of protein, making it a balanced and nourishing meal option.

2. Zoodles are a lighter alternative that may help reduce bloating

Many women notice that heavy pasta meals can leave them feeling sluggish or bloated.

Swapping traditional pasta for zucchini noodles helps lower the carbohydrate load while increasing fibre and nutrients. Zucchini is also naturally low in carbs, making it a great option for women wanting lighter meals that still feel comforting.

3. Prebiotic ingredients support a healthy gut microbiome

Gut health is about more than digestion. Your gut microbiome can influence energy, mood, bloating, and overall wellbeing.

This recipe contains prebiotic-rich ingredients including:

  • onion
  • garlic
  • quinoa
  • tomatoes

These foods help nourish beneficial gut bacteria and support digestive health.

Zing Wellbeing places a huge focus on gut health recipes because nutrition plays an important role in supporting digestive balance and overall wellness.

4. Healthy fats help support hormone health

Olive oil contains healthy fats that can help support satiety and overall wellbeing during menopause.

Including healthy fats in meals may also help stabilise energy levels and make meals feel more satisfying.
