Tanya was determined to change her health for the better

Tanya shares, When I started my health journey, I was in survival mode.

I had heart issues, I’d just been through five surgeries, I was 113kg, and my mental health? It was debilitating. 

But I had four children relying on me, and something inside me knew it was time to fight.


I didn’t start big.
I started small.
I focused on just one thing:
The feeling I had after I moved my body. That became my motivation.

I gave myself 61 days. After each goal, I’d reset.

I always celebrated the wins with something that aligned with where I was headed.

Because I knew this wasn’t just about weight. It was about my strength. My mental health. My life.

I have fought with everything in me to rise stronger, clearer, mentally and physically.
Exercise became my scaffolding.


My structure when life felt like it was falling apart.

And for over 1300 days now,
I’ve shown up.
Day in, day out.
I’ve made this, and me, my priority.

No excuses.
No shortcuts.
Just grit, grace, and relentless focus.

When I say I’ve been to hell and back during this time. I mean it.
There’s no sugar-coating this story.
But this, this commitment to myself,
This focus on what I need as a woman,
A mother, a human juggling it all, this is what got me through.

I quickly jumped over to Zing Wellbeing when Rhian started this in July 2024, as l believe that to be the best version of myself, it is a holistic approach.

It’s not only the physical exercises it’s the mindfulness approach in everything you do from your mental health right through to your nutrition and daily habits.


There have been so many slight shifts l have made in this journey from the time l spend exercising, what sort of exercise lm doing, treating myself like a best friend and also being mindful of the nutritional intake.

This program and the support that you receive from the village of women and Rhian has literally helped save my life and l'm not sure if I would be in this space in my wellness journey without this program."


During the past 12 months, for me it’s purely been a focus on nutrition and mental wellbeing.

My gut health has improved phenomenally since doing the gut health program in March it’s the healthiest it’s been since l had my gallbladder removed some 9 years ago!

Dramatic change so quickly and this has also coincided with a massive boost of energy and confidence! 


🌟 I keep things simple, so with changing my nutrition, l focused on the swap out! Swapping ingredients for healthier alternatives ie, my milk-unsweetened almond milk, chocolate-dark chocolate, table salt-Himalayan salt, butter-avocado.

🌟 Meals for during the week are easy as l cook 2 batches and have alternative nights, so Friday is also leftover night.

🌟 I don’t focus on the negative, l flip my thinking so my energy flows towards the positive!
