Renae celebrates almost 12 months on with Zing Wellbeing... and shares with us...
"This time last year, I was a broken version of myself."
I’d just turned 48, was feeling fit and healthy, and then had a sudden stroke ☹ I was struggling to come to terms with what this meant for me and my family..
As I started to undergo rehabilitation, it was clear that my main deficiencies were neurological rather than physical, which were displaying as chronic fatigue and severe headaches.
My sleep was affected, my anxiety was heightened, and doing ‘normal’ daily tasks were tiring and difficult. I was feeling lost 😥
Then Renae found Zing Wellbeing
I decided to join Zing Wellbeing, initially not for recipes or exercise, but for the other aspects of the program – sleep health, stress management, mindfulness, and to be part of a community.
Being stuck in your own head is a lonely place, and it gave me a purpose – even when I wasn’t posting or being involved.
