My honest review of grounding sheets after 12 months - plus what an independent reviewer discovered after testing six brands
When I first heard about grounding sheets, I was sceptical.
The idea that simply sleeping on a specially designed sheet connected to the earth could potentially improve sleep, recovery and overall wellbeing sounded almost too simple.
But after hearing so many people talk about grounding and earthing, I decided to give them a try myself.
Over the past year I have slept on grounding sheets consistently and shared my experience with the Zing community. You can read my original review here:
What surprised me most wasn't that I suddenly woke up feeling like a different person. The changes were much more subtle than that.
I found myself sleeping more deeply, waking less during the night and generally feeling calmer and more rested in the mornings. While I can't say with certainty that grounding sheets were responsible for every improvement, they became one of those simple wellness habits that I genuinely looked forward to using.
And you can see the place I get mine from here

More recently, I came across an independent review from Sleep Wellness Reviews that took a far more scientific approach than I did.
Instead of simply sharing personal experiences, the reviewer tested six different grounding sheet brands over an extended period to see how they performed in real-world conditions.
The findings were fascinating.
What the independent reviewer discovered
The reviewer spent more than a year testing six popular grounding sheet brands and measuring how well they maintained conductivity over time.
One of the biggest findings was that not all grounding sheets are created equal.
According to the review, some grounding sheets appeared to lose conductivity after repeated washing and regular use, while others maintained their performance for much longer.
The reviewer found significant differences in:
- Conductivity
- Durability
- Material quality
- Silver fibre content
- Long-term performance
One of the key takeaways was that simply buying the cheapest grounding sheet may not provide the same long-term value if conductivity declines quickly.
That was something I hadn't considered when I first started researching grounding products.
Credit to the team at Sleep Wellness Reviews for conducting such a detailed independent assessment.
Why grounding sheets may help some people sleep better
Grounding, also known as earthing, is based on the theory that direct contact with the earth allows the body to absorb electrons from the ground.
Advocates believe this may help support the body's natural electrical balance and potentially reduce the effects of chronic stress and inflammation.
While research is still emerging and more large-scale studies are needed, some early studies have suggested potential benefits relating to:
- Sleep quality
- Stress management
- Recovery
- Cortisol regulation
- Overall wellbeing
Importantly, grounding sheets should never be viewed as a replacement for healthy habits like nutritious food, movement, stress management and quality sleep routines.
However, they may be a useful addition to a broader wellness approach.
My experience after long-term use
After using grounding sheets for more than a year, the biggest benefits I personally noticed were:
- Feeling more settled when going to sleep
- Fewer overnight wake-ups
- Improved sleep consistency
- A greater sense of relaxation
The changes weren't dramatic overnight.
Instead, it felt more like a gradual improvement in sleep quality that became noticeable over time.
Would I continue using them?
Absolutely.
In fact, grounding sheets have become one of those small daily habits that I now consider part of my overall wellness routine.
The grounding sheets I personally use
After researching multiple options and using grounding sheets extensively myself, these are the grounding sheets I recommend:
Grounding Well - You can check them out here
What I particularly like is the comfort of the fabric, ease of use and overall quality.
Of course, everyone's experience will be different, but if you've been curious about grounding sheets and want to try them yourself, these are the ones I personally use and recommend.
Grounding sheets are unlikely to be a miracle solution.

But after using them personally and reading independent testing from reviewers who have spent hundreds of nights comparing different brands, I believe they are a wellness tool worth considering.
At the very least, they have become a valuable part of my sleep routine.
And if better sleep is something you're currently working on, that alone may make them worth exploring.
And I bought the sheet from a place called GROUNDING WELL and they are great! You can check them out here
P.S you can use code GWZINGWELLBEING for a 10% discount too - and the reason you can get this is because as I messaged the peeps at Grounding Well after I was blown away and said I was so impressed I wanted to be an ambassador for the brand and was going to share this with the Zing Wellbeing audience and they gave me this code and said yes to me being an ambassador.
But if you don't want to buy through these guys there are heaps of others out there too - I just bought mine through them as they looked good and I was impressed with the reviews.
Tracey Grant's Review
And just also sharing Tracey Grant's review who bought the grounding sheet after reading mine!
Tracey says, "Update on grounding well sheet. Went to bed about 10 up at 6 I feel I didn’t toss and turn no where near as much as what I normally do and I also slept a bit more solid. I definitely didn’t feel as stiff and sore getting out of bed. I have OA and bone spurs in my shoulders and knee so far so good"
