In an AI world, community may be the most valuable asset a business can build
When I sold The Healthy Mummy in 2022, I spent a lot of time reflecting on what I wanted to build next.
The Healthy Mummy had helped millions of women and built an incredible community, but it was largely centred around one outcome: weight loss for mums.
As I moved into my forties and experienced my own health journey, including extreme stress and navigating early menopause, my perspective on health changed.

I came to believe that health isn't just about weight.
It's about energy.
It's about strength.
It's about sleep, gut health, hormones, nutrition, mental wellbeing and longevity.
Health is holistic.
That belief became the foundation for Zing Wellbeing.
But before I launched Zing Wellbeing in 2024 I launched Healthy Active Pet which is a health food company for dogs which I went onto to sell to Frontier Pets in 2023.
But in 2024, my complete passion for the women's health space was too strong to ignore and I launched Zing Wellbeing.
My vision wasn't simply to create another wellness app or supplement business. I wanted to build a holistic health platform for women that supported every stage of life and recognised that wellbeing is about far more than the number on a scales.

At the same time, another major shift was taking place.
Artificial intelligence was beginning to rapidly transform the way businesses operate.
"As founders navigate the rise of artificial intelligence in business, many are asking whether technology will replace the need for human connection.
My experience suggests the opposite."
Today, AI is helping businesses become faster, leaner and more efficient. We use AI ourselves for research, analysing trends, improving efficiencies and helping us make smarter decisions.
I believe AI is an incredibly powerful tool.
But after more than 15 years building consumer brands, I've also become increasingly convinced of something that technology cannot replace:
Human connection.
Because while technology evolves, the fundamental building blocks of great businesses remain remarkably consistent.
Trust.
Authenticity.
Community.
Helping people.
These aren't new ideas.
But in an increasingly digital and AI-driven world, I believe they're becoming more valuable than ever.
At Zing Wellbeing, we've made a deliberate decision to build around real people, real content and real community.

Our members don't just buy products.
They shape what we launch by voting on new products or tools they want
They participate in health challenges together.
They celebrate milestones together.
They support one another through menopause, stressful careers, parenting, weight struggles and everyday life.
They feel listened to and valued.
That sense of belonging is incredibly powerful.
And importantly, it's incredibly difficult to replicate.
Increasingly, I see businesses relying heavily on AI-generated content, AI-created images and automated customer experiences - social media is littered with them. These tools can absolutely save time and reduce costs.
But consumers are smart.
They know when something feels authentic.
And they know when it doesn't.
At Zing Wellbeing, our content is created by real people.

It's our members sharing their health journeys.
It's our coaches going live.
It's me showing up every day and speaking directly with our community.
The stories are real.
The experiences are real.
The conversations are real.
Is this approach harder? Does it cost more to do it this way? Without question, yes.
Building trust takes years.
Creating authentic content takes effort.
Listening to customers every day takes time.
Community doesn't scale overnight.
But in my experience, the most valuable things in business are rarely the easiest things to build.
Many of our products and programs have come directly from conversations with women in our community. Whether it's gut health, protein intake, healthy ageing or hormonal wellbeing, our customers shape what we create.
In many ways, our community isn't just our customer base.
It's our greatest source of insight, innovation and growth.
And it is something I feel incredibly grateful to be part of and leading.
After building businesses for more than 15 years, I've learned that while products can be copied and technology can be replicated, trust is much harder to recreate.
And I do not take for granted that so many women trust me, have followed me for years and have an expectation that I will put their feedback and needs first.
Communities built on genuine relationships don't appear overnight. (you can see our priviate community here)

They are earned over years through consistency, authenticity and delivering value.
That's why I believe community may become one of the most valuable assets a business can build in the age of AI.
Not because it's easy.
Precisely because it's difficult.
AI will continue transforming business, and founders who ignore it do so at their peril. But I believe the businesses that endure will be those that use technology to enhance human relationships, not replace them.
Because ultimately, whether a business is online or face-to-face, people still buy from people.
They still want to feel seen.
They still want to feel understood.
They still want to belong.
And in a world increasingly powered by artificial intelligence, genuinely human businesses may become the most valuable of all.
How ZIng Wellbeing has grown
Over the past two years, I've been incredibly humbled by the trust women have placed in both me and the Zing Wellbeing team.
That trust has allowed us to build far more than a wellness brand. Today, more than 20,000 women engage with our community, app and products as they work towards better health and wellbeing.

We've built a highly customisable wellness app designed to support women across all stages of life, recognising that health is deeply personal and that no two women have the same goals or needs.
Alongside our digital platform, we've created a growing range of Australian-made products, manufactured in Byron Bay, spanning organic protein powders, high-protein wellness smoothies, gut health products, creatine formulations and physical books that women still love having in their hands. (You can see our shop here)
Every product we create starts with a simple question: "Will this genuinely help women improve their health?"

Because for me, holistic health has never been about chasing trends or quick fixes. It's about supporting women in a way that is sustainable, evidence-informed and realistic for everyday life.
One of the greatest privileges of building Zing Wellbeing has been seeing women embrace our products, programs and community with such enthusiasm. Reading their feedback, hearing their stories and seeing the impact on their lives is something I never take for granted.
I'm incredibly proud of what we've built so far, but even more grateful for the trust our community continues to place in us every day.
That trust inspires me to keep working extremely hard, listening closely to our members and continuing to build a business grounded in the values that matter most: community, authenticity and helping women live healthier lives.
