Yoghurt & Berries

Yoghurt & Berries

Yogurt is a staple in the Mediterranean diet and offers a range of health benefits thanks to its unique nutritional profile. Yogurt is a natural source of probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that support a healthy gut microbiome. A balanced microbiome aids digestion, enhances immune function, and may help prevent digestive disorders like IBS. We are using Greek yogurt in particular as it is high in protein, which helps with satiety and supports muscle maintenance. This protein content also makes yogurt a great snack or meal addition, keeping you full and energized longer. Yogurt also provides a significant amount of calcium, a mineral essential for bone density and strength. Regular yogurt intake can help maintain bone health, reducing the risk of osteoporosis as we age. Often yoghurt is teamed up with berries in this type of diet due to the numerous health benefits including high antioxidant content, anti-inflammatory properties, high fibre content and high vitamin C content. Adding in nutritious pops of almonds and high omega flaxseed meal makes this a powerhouse of medicinal food.
