Blue Zone Smoothie

 

Inspired by the "Blue Zones" – regions where people live longer, healthier lives – this Blue Zone Smoothie is packed with nutrient-dense, plant-based ingredients that are commonly enjoyed in these areas. This smoothie focuses on antioxidant-rich berries, leafy greens, nuts, and seeds for nutrients and great fats, avocado for healthy fats and blood sugar stabilisation and banana for sweetness.

 

Serves 2

 Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup blueberries (fresh or frozen)
  • ¼ cup Zing Vanilla Protein powder
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach
  • ½ cucumber
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/4 avocado
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

 

Add all ingredients to a blender.

Blend on high until smooth and creamy.

Pour into a glass and enjoy straight away. If making for later, leave the chia seeds out and mix in closer to consumption.
